So here we are coming to the end of January already! Seems only the other day I was writing my first blog of the year.
I am not much for new year resolutions but I did make one this year. That is to once a fortnight, go into the loft and fill a bag of rubbish ready for the dustmen. I am sure I am not alone in having a loft full of stuff that may come in useful one day. Problem is there is just too much of it. Well I say that but in my case its not mostly my stuff up there now. It belongs to my youngest son who whenever he cleans his bedroom (about once a year if we are lucky)! he tends not to throw anything out but promptly puts it up the loft. Then I go up and don’t know what’s rubbish or not. So we have had to sort a bit of time out so he can show me what’s what. It all looks rubbish to me but there you go.
Also this year I had decided to have a good concerted effort on the family tree research. I have took out a subscription to a website that gives you access to loads of records. This has really proved useful and we have managed to get back a few more generations. I find it fascinating discovering what my ancestors were doing and where they were living. I am also totally rebuilding my family tree album to keep all this new information in.
Finally as this month runs out so quickly I am helping a friend to stage a charity show at the Concordia Theatre. Its called “One Night Only” and star’s Michael George. I have just got back from a small rehearsal and so far so good. I am compere for the evening so I have met some of the people also involved. I think we should have a good night as it is rasing funds for a cancer charity. A bit nerve racking for me but hopefully I shall get through it.
So if you are at a loose end at the back end of February then check out Michael George “One Night Only” at the Concordia Theatre Sunday 26th February. Tickets from the theatre box office.
